Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute
The Govind Ballabh Pant Social Science Institute (GBPSSI) is a premier research institute established in 1980. It functions as one of the prominent nodes in the network of Social Science Research Institutes set up by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, in association with the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
On July 14, 2005, the Institute became a Constituent Institute of the University of Allahabad (a Central University).
